If you want a change to exsit first change yourself!

 Allama Muhammad Iqbal

Khudi ko kar buland itna ke har taqder se pehle
Khuda bande se ye poche bata teri raza kia hai

Islamic Republic of Pakistan, name says it all. Our country was made on the name of Islam. Muslims needed a separate Islamic state where they could freely practice their religion. But where is Islam today? Under the heading of modernization our country is being dragged to darkness. Alama Iqbal was a poet , leader and guider who always emphasized the importance of islam if we ought to have success in future. Why are we a suppressed nation today ? Why aren’t we considered equally important as India or America? Why are we being categorized as a failed nation?
The answer to all these questions is Iqbal's quote mentioned above which highlights the significance of Khudi, which means self, ego, individuality and personality. Iqbal, therefore gives great importance to the fact that only by self affirmation, self-expression, and self development can the Muslims once more become strong and free. In order to attain it one has to pass through three stages :
(a)    Obedience to the Law.
(b)    Self-control, which is the highest form of self-consciousness or Ego-hood.
(c)    Divine vicegerency.

All these points lead to a law obedient, sincere and successful nation. If we blend Islamic teachings in our everyday life we can overcome the disease of corruption, interest and all that has caused our economy to collapse. Interest as you are aware is forbidden in Islam .If we eliminate the practices of interest and loaning we can protect our self from taking loans from IMF or word bank and thus can save our self from being slaves of America .Our country has great potential to compete super powers like America only if our leadership is faithful. If we are able to cure the creeping illness of corruption by generating taxes from all and investing back for Pakistan’s welfare, only then can our country prospers but for that we need a true leader .Apart from a sincere leader we as an nation have to work as one, with unity. The quote highlights this fact:

As you are aware of the fact that at the time of partition Muslims were suppressed by Hindus and had no recognition ,same is the case today America in the name of war against terrorism is ruling us. Our leaders have become their servants and we their slaves. The incident on 26th November 2011 is an appropriate example of this, an attack by Nato aircraft on Pakistani troops that allegedly killed as many as 28 soldiers and looks set to further poison relations between the US and Pakistan was an act of self-defence, a senior western official has claimed. According to the Kabul-based official, a joint US-Afghan force operating in the mountainous Afghan frontier province of Kunar was the first to come under attack in the early hours of Saturday morning, forcing them to return fire. The high death toll from an incident between two supposed allies suggests Nato helicopters and jets strafed Pakistani positions with heavy weapons. This alarming incident has moved the leadership of Pakistan and its time we should react and fight for dignity of our nation and the deaths of our soldiers. We cannot stay silent as we are under constant threat of being attacked anytime. Raising voice against wrong is also part of ‘ khudi’ or ego phenomena.

In order to protect the sovereignty of our country we should read and learn what Allama Iqbal taught us.As by following his foot steps we can reach our destination, which is a better, successful Pakistan.

PAKISTAN PAINADAB!

  1. i strongly support your point that khudi that is EGO is very important when it comes to development of Pakistan as an egoistic nation will always seek for ways through which they could make their country stand against other successful nations like China and U.S.A so that they wont have to beg for aid which is in a way degrading for the respectable nations...
THe article was very well composed and organised....
and Iqbal's poetry added to the explanation very well
