Famous holy shrines in Pakistan
Lalshabaz kalandar is the most famous sufi saint of Pakistan. His actual name is (Syed Usman Marwandi). He lived from 1177 to 1274.his shrine is located in sindh,sehwan.many followers from all over Pakistan visit his shrine specially during his urs. His followers believes that ALLAH had given some special powers to lalshabaz kalandar.one of his miricle is that On his way from Baluchistan to Sindh, he also stayed in present day Karachi's Manghopir area for muraqba (meditation), and it is said that Manghopir's natural warm fountain is a miracle of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar. That warm fountain started to flow from beneath the hill, on which Lal Shahbaz sat for muraqba (meditation). After passing hundreds of years, that warm fountain is still flowing continuously and is said to have miraculous healing power especially for asthma patients. His annual urs (death anniversary celebration) is held on the 18 of shabaan - the eighth month of the Islamic lunar calendar.


The shrine is located near the Bhaati Gate in lahore. It was originally built by the ghaznavi king Sultan Ibrahim in the late eleventh century, and has been expanded several times. For centuries his tomb was visited by muslims and even hindus in search of his blessings but since partician, most visitors have been Muslim, although people of all religions are welcome. On special occasions, the shrine is decorated with lights, dinner is prepared for hundreds of people and visitors dance while musicians play sufi music for hours. The urs (festival) of data sahab is held every year on 27th of safar(Islamic month).many followers from all over Pakistan comes to pay homage.
